Update: Driver Turns Himself In After Hit and Run

UPDATE:

On 12-15-17 The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the driver in that crash.  The driver was Jaden K. Baumbach, age 22, of Tomah WI.  Mr. Baumbach had turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office on the morning of 12-15-17.  Mr. Baumbach told a Sheriff’s Deputy that he was driving, lost control of his vehicle and over corrected his vehicle.  He left the scene because he panicked. The matter remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office

Monroe County authorities are looking for the public’s help with information on a hit-and-run crash that happened shortly before 6:30pm Thursday. Deputies were dispatched to the report of a hit and run crash that occurred at 8464 County Highway N. Witnesses reported that a silver and blue Dodge Avenger crashed into the yards of two homes on County Highway N near Valley Junction, hitting multiple trees, a chain-link fence and portable greenhouse before driving off west on County Highway G. The vehicle left parts on scene included a passenger side mirror and multiple silver/blue colored pieces from the striking vehicle exterior. If anyone has knowledge of the striking vehicle and/or responsible party, contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office or Monroe County Crime Stoppers.
