One Person Injured in a Single Vehicle Accident in Monroe County

One person was injured in a single vehicle accident in Monroe County Wednesday morning. Monroe County authorities say the crash happened on Highway 16, east of Hedge Road in the Township of Adrian. The vehicle involved in the crash is a 2015 Peterbuilt Dump Truck. The driver, 45-year-old Stacey L Taylor of Tomah, was the only occupant and he told the investigating deputy that he suddenly lost control of his steering and went into the ditch.  Taylor went off the south side of the road, into the ditch, struck and broke a highway sign, came back onto the road and rolled onto its side. The vehicle came to rest on its side on the highway. Taylor was injured as a result of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
