School Districts Receive Notice of Certified General Aid
While 55 percent of the state’s public school districts will receive less state aid than the previous year, some local districts will receive more according to figures released Friday by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
2017-2018 State Aid Figures
- Adams-Friendship Area School District – $5,581,018 (19.74 percent increase)
- Necedah Area – $2,983,874 (6.58 percent increase)
- Royall – $4,734,770 (4.59 percent increase)
- Reedsburg – $15,334,716 (3.90 percent increase)
- Tomah Area – $17,744,297 (3.83 percent increase)
- Mauston – $9,574,588 (1.80 percent increase)
- Hillsboro – $3,547,972 (1.88 percent increase)
- New Lisbon – $2,864,535 (3.60 percent decrease)
- Wonewoc-Center – $1,517,04 (9.46 percent decrease)
- Wisconsin Dells – $579,872 (2.89 percent decrease)
Aid figures are based on a school district’s membership, property values, and expenditures. $4.584 billion was appropriated for general state aid for the 2017-18 school year. This is the same amount of general state aid as the prior year’s budget appropriation.
