Packers Are 2-2 After Soldier Field 38-17 Win Over The Bears
WISCONSINREPORT.COM (09/28/2014) [SPORTS] – Things are looking up for the Green Bay Packers as the Pack is beginning to gel. Although the Bears came out swinging, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and the Packers offense and defense, pulled together, with a well deserved 38-17 win at the Bears’ Soldier Field.
With the win, Green Bay is an even 2-2 with a third straight NFC North game set for Thursday in Minnesota.
Rodgers’ passing game was back in full force Sunday, thanks to many factors. One of them was the fact that he relied more heavily on all of the receivers on the field, and, for the most part, they delivered.
Defensively, the Packers had a sloppy first half , but they made the best of the second half, looking more alert, which led to gaining the ball back from bad moves by Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler and his pass receivers, and other opportunities to shine.
Even though the Packers passing game was clicking, the running game wasn’t doing as well. Lacy finished with only 48 yards on 17 attempts, thanks to the Bears defensive line.
Overall, the Pack looked much better than the prior three games of the regular season.
The Packers will be back at Lambeau Field Thursday night, October 2nd, 2014, as they take on the Minnesota Vikings in a CBS televised game at 7:25 PM CDT.
