DNA Analysis Fingers Necedah Thief

Jared Wilkey, 36 of Necedah is facing 5 counts including Receiving Stolen Property under 2,500 dollars.  On September 30th of 2017, law authorities responded to a residence on East Bay Drive, in Necedah Township.  The victim of the residence told authorities his property had been broken into.  Items were missing from the residence including a Stihl blower and chainsaw, a Milwaukee sawzall, and alcohol from a refrigerator.  Authorities were made aware of a stolen car impounded in Mauston containing items that were the same as those stolen from the residence.  A soda can found in the car was used for a DNA analysis.  The DNA from the soda can came back as a match to Jared Wilkey, it confirmed he was in the stolen vehicle and in possession of the stolen items.
