Check Forger Busted
Katherine Heldt, 28 of Wisconsin Dells, is facing a count of Uttering a Forgery and another count of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. On November 15th of 2017 a woman stated someone had been using her checks, which had been stolen out of her mailbox and being used without her permission. On February 14, 2018, the deputy received a voicemail from the victim saying that she found the check had been used at a local gas station. The next day the authorities were able to use video surveillance tape from the gas station to review the footage. They were able to identify the female subject whom had forged the check as Katherine Heldt, whom they had recognized from previous contacts. This incident also is a violation of Heldts bail.
