Lyndon Station Man Charged With OWI-4th Offense

A Lyndon Station man is facing a fourth operating while intoxicated offense charge. 38-year-old Benjamin Lira faces up to six years in prison or a $10,000 fine, or both. According to the criminal complaint, on July 7, 2017, a state trooper received a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically on I-90 at milepost 71. He responded and saw the offending vehicle exiting I-90 and stop at a stop sign at CTH HH. New Lisbon School Board Approves Preliminary Budget for 2017-18 School Year

The New Lisbon School Board approved their preliminary budget for the 2017-18 school year at their monthly meeting on Monday night. the decrease in the revenue limit and state aid this year is mostly due to declining number of students living in the school district. Superintendent Dennis Birr said this is just the best guess they have since the state budget hasn’t been passed. With a relatively flat equalized property value, right now, the mill rate is projected to be $10.19, a 20 cent drop from last year’s mill rate with the proposed budget.
