Members of the Necedah Area School Community are invited to attend a school district planning session Wednesday August 23. The session will be from 5-9pm at the Siegler Memorial Library in Necedah. The public will have a chance to meet the new superintendent, Tanya Kotlowski, and the session will take in feedback and ideas about improving Necedah schools. Saturday is the 25th anniversary of a young Appleton woman’s disappearance, and investigators still don’t know what exactly happened. A woman’s body has been found in the rubble of a house that exploded Thursday morning in Shawano County. Greater Tomah Area Chamber of Commerce will take part in a statewide celebration of downtown business districts in the first-ever Wisconsin Main Street Day event on Tuesday, Aug. 22. Tomah is one of 12 communities selected to take part in local Main Street Day celebrations that will feature state and local officials, and community leaders. The day highlights the important role that downtowns play in the local economy and celebrates the many successes of Wisconsin’s commercial business districts.
