Read moreOn August 5, 2017 at 6:00pm the Sauk County Communications Center received a call of a single vehicle crash on CTH W east of Neuman Road in the Town of Greenfield. A witness said the vehicle was occupied by one male subject later identified as Jason A. Fernald, age 44 of Merrimac, Wisconsin. The witness staed that Fernald was east bound on CTH W at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle then struck a guide-wire for a power pole and some trees after travelling over 1000 feet on the roadway and in the ditch line.
