We Energies Sends Crews To Puerto Rico

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Milwaukee-based We Energies says it is sending crews and equipment to help restore power to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico. The utility will send about 35 line workers and support personnel. Several other electric companies are sending help to rebuild the electric infrastructure heavily damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Marie. The team members from Wisconsin will travel to Florida, be loaded on a barge, and are expected to arrive in Puerto Rico early next month. More than 3.5 million people lost electrical service, many of them still off-line three months later.
