Tomah Man Jailed After Being Passed Out in Vehicle & Threatening Officer

A Tomah man was jailed after police found him slumped over asleep in his minivan at a Tomah gas station.  Tomah PD woke Thomas Mason 47 of Tomah, up in his vehicle and noticed an open bottle of beer in the center console.  When Mason came to, he told the officer he had a little, then a few, then a lot of alcoholic drinks that night.  Mason said he pulled off the road due to his impaired vision.  Mason blew a .191 on a preliminary breath test.  During his transportation to Monroe County Jail, Mason threatened the officer saying “Me and you are going to go at it dude…. I bet you can’t even fight”.  The officer took this as a threat of physical harm.
