One Dead – Shooting in Monroe County

Monroe County Sheriff Scott Perkins reports a shooting incident this (Friday) morning that resulting in the death of one, in the township of Jefferson.  The incident appears to be isolated and it is not believed that the public is at risk.  One suspect has been identified, and is now in police custody.  Further details will be released as soon as practical.
