Mauston Police Department Warns of Scam

The Mauston Police Department is warning residents about a scam where individuals are impersonating Mile Bluff Medical Center officials with a local number attempting to get fictitious bills paid by credit card. Police say to be careful when speaking to organizations or individuals over the phone and to never provide personal identifying information or credit card information without being certain the organization is the legitimate business being identified.
