Mauston Locals Alert Police to Unsafe Household

Mauston Police along with Child Protective Services responded to a Mauston residence on May 17th after receiving reports of young children living in an unsafe household.  Witnesses told authorities the residence had odors of garbage and marijuana and there were always very young children left unattended.  As authorities arrived they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the household.  They made contact with 37 year old Justin Schultz who lived at the address.  They asked Schultz if they could search the place, and Schultz agreed.  Schultz admitted to having a smoking pipe between his mattresses.  Authorities located other drug related items as well as 2 grams of marijuana and traces of cocaine.  Another resident of the place was questioned but claimed all the drugs and paraphernalia belonged to Schultz.   Schultz is facing charges of Possession of THC, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
