Mauston High Grad Niko Iglesias to Compete in Sub-Junior World Power Lifting Championships in South Africa
A Mauston High School Graduate will get to represent not only the City of Mauston but the entire United State of America when he competes in the 2018 Sub-Junior World Power Lifting Championship this September. Mauston’s Niko Iglesias will compete in the competition held in Potchefstroom, South Africa September 2nd through the 8th. Iglesias is the first Mauston graduate to compete in this event. Iglesias began powerlifting as a freshman to prepare for football. The Power-lifting event is self-funded but Iglesias has been able to raise funds through support of area businesses.
