Mauston City Administrator Nathan Thiel Leaving for Pleasant Prairie
Nathan Thiel is leaving his position as Mauston City Administrator. Thiel is leaving to take the same position in Pleasant Prairie. Pleasant Prairie is has a population of around 21,000 people and is located in Kenosha County. His first day at his new job is scheduled for April 30th. Thiel’s proudest accomplishment in Mauston is the revitalization of Riverside Park and Mansion Street. He is excited to see empty buildings filling up in Mauston. Thiel is hoping that revitalization will continue with Veteran’s Memorial Park and the Lake Decorah restoration project. The City of Mauston is in the beginning stages of looking for Thiel’s replacement. It is expected to take 4 months before one is brought in. During the transition the City Administrator position will be delegated to many department heads. Thiel says he has fallen in love with Mauston and hopes to come back to visit soon.
