Man Injured Seriously In Collision With Semi In Columbia County

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says a man was injured seriously when his car struck a semi Monday afternoon. Sheriff’s officials say the man was driving on Highway A at around 4 P-M when he missed a stop sign at Highway 16 in the town of Otsego. His car went into the intersection and hit the trailer of a semi on Highway 16.  Officials closed Highway 16 for three hours as they responded to the crash. The man driving the car was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries. Deputies believe alcohol contributed to the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
