Kenseth Returns To NASCAR Next Month
Racing news sources report a news conference will be held Wednesday to announce the return of Wisconsin native Matt Kenseth to NASCAR Cup Series competition. Kenseth is set to share Roush Fenway Racing’s Number-Six car in the rest of the 2018 season. Trevor Bayne has driven that car on a full-time basis for three years, but he will move to part-time status. Kenseth began his Cup Series career with the company 17 years ago, leaving to drive for Joe Gibbs Racing in 2013. He was replaced at the end of last season by 21-year-old Erik Jones. The announcement will be made at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. The NASCAR Cup Series can be heard all season long on Smash Country 92.9!
