K9 Alert Leads Adams County to Drug Arrest

On July 3rd, 2018, a traffic stop was conducted by the City of Adams Police Department for a traffic violation. Adams County Sheriff K9 Deputy Simmons and his partner Lya arrived to assist. Lya was deployed and alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics emitting from the vehicle.

The ensuing investigation alleges Justin M Shaske (33) of Friendship was in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and was driving on a revoked license. Shaske is also on bond for other drug offenses. Shaske is currently in custody in the Adams County Jail.

The following alleged charges are being requested with the Adams County District Attorney’s Office: Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating after Revocation and Bail Jumping.
