Homeless Man Accused Of Pulling Knife On Store Employee
A worker at a store on Madison’s State Street says he was threatened by a man with a knife Sunday afternoon. The suspect faces a tentative charge of disorderly conduct while armed. That employee says he asked 61-year-old Ronald Duell to move when Duell was lying on the sidewalk in front of the Stop and Shop Grocery. He says Duell was quiet at first, then pulled out a knife and extended the blade. The 18-year-old worker went back inside and grabbed a baseball bat to defend himself. When he looked outside, police were already talking to the homeless man.
