Governor Walker Signs Senate Bill 392 Into Law
Governor Scott Walker signed Senate Bill 392 into law Thursday. This bill authorizes a municipality to enact an ordinance to authorize the operation of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) on certain highways within the territorial boundaries of the municipality. It was authored by Senator Howard Marklein and Representative Todd Novak. Markein said our local leaders should be trusted to make decisions about these issues. They can assess whether a small section of state highway within their municipal boundaries may be safely traveled on an ATV/UTV. The bill passed the Senate on a voice vote and was concurred by the Assembly on a voice vote. It is Act 87.
