Could a Former Wisconsin Dells Football Players Name be Called During Draft Weekend?
Former Wisconsin Dells athlete Shane Wimann is hoping to hear his name as part of draft weekend. Wimann, who garners himself as a tight-end/full-back hybrid, played college football at Northern Illinois University. Wimann had 30 receptions for 283 yards and a team tight end record 7 touchdowns for the Huskies last season. He had another team tight-end record notching 17 career touchdowns for Northern Illinois. Although hampered by a hamstring injury during his pro-day Wimann has still gained NFL attention. He has or will have scheduled visits with Jaguars, Bears, Texans, and Panthers. Even if he doesn’t hear his name on draft weekend Wimann is still expecting to get a shot as a possible undrafted free agent with an NFL team.
