City of New Lisbon Works Out Agreement to Improve Water System
The City of New Lisbon has worked out an agreement between the city, the Wisconsin Utility commission, and Street Magic Enterprise LLC to have the city flush out the water mains. These water mains are located under the New Lisbon Travel Mart. The water mains will remain private property as the city does not want to take them over not knowing what kind of condition they’re in. There has been concern that those mains need to be flushed because they are connected to the city of New Lisbon. The agreement allows the city to flush these mains up to two times a year. The flushing will help prevent potential bacteria build up. This agreement was conducted at the April 17th New Lisbon Common Council meeting. It was the first meeting for new elected Mayor Jacob Kallies.
