Illinois Man Gets Deferred Judgment in 2015 Shooting Incident

An Illinois man charged in 2015 for a shooting incident at a campground in the Town of Lyndon will see some jail time. Court records show 37-year-old Kane Kramer of Thornton pleaded no contest to three misdemeanor counts of intentionally pointing a firearm at a person and received a 5 year deferred judgment on second degree recklessly endangering safety count. He was sentenced to 4 months for each misdemeanor count and they are to be served consecutively to each other at the Juneau County Jail. Other charges of Aggravated Battery-Intend Great Bodily Harm and Disorderly Conduct were dismissed but read in. TMH Hospice Touch Marks Anniversary with Garden Dedication

After a lot of planning and work, Tomah Memorial Hospice Touch and Life Choices Palliative care officials are ready to show off its Serenity House gardens. Hospice director Laura Fritz says area residents are invited to a dedication and open house at the Hospice Serenity House at 601 Straw Street in Tomah Tuesday, September 12. Fritz said the flower gardens have been enjoyed by patients, their families and even hospice staff. She said funds from the Jesse Parker Foundation were key to the project.
