Three Injured in Crashes Caused by Freezing Rain

Three people  were injured in separate crashes due to freezing rain Saturday in Vernon County. The first crash happened about 8:45am. 79-year-old Stephen L. Kozerowitz of De Soto, WI and Huntley, IL, was operating a vehicle eastbound on State Highway 82 in the Town of Wheatland and encountered ice from freezing rain. He lost control and the vehicle crossed the centerline. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, struck an uphill embankment, and rolled onto its left side. The vehicle slid along the roadway surface, rolled back onto its wheels, and came to rest slightly off the westbound lane. Kozerowitz suffered minor injuries and was transported to Gundersen Health
