Cold Weather, Flu Prompt Critical Plea for Local Blood Donors

BloodCenter of Wisconsin and Tomah Memorial Hospital officials hope area residents can help meet a critical need for blood by donating at Tomah Memorial Hospital this Thursday. Tomah Memorial marketing and public relations director Eric Prise said the weather and illness have resulted in a decline in blood donations. Prise said BloodCenter of Wisconsin strives to see eight-hundred donors a day, six days a week, to collect the blood needed by patients in the hospitals with which they collaborate, like Tomah Memorial. Victims in Abbotsford double homicide identified

Police in Marathon County have released the the names of the two people killed in a fatal shooting Saturday morning in Abbotsford.
