Two-vehicle Wreck Results in One Fatality

Sheriff John B. Spears reports a two vehicle accident that resulted in one fatality, on February 3rd 2018 at approximately 5:20pm. The accident occurred on State Highway 27 near Melby Dr. just north of Westby, WI in the Town of Christiana. Chase N. Galle age 22 from Brandon, WI was operating a vehicle southbound on State Highway 27 when he lost control on snow covered roads and crossed the centerline. Galle struck a northbound vehicle operated by Duane T. Skarda age 52 of Pleasant Prairie, WI. Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane. Vernon County Fatal Truck Crash

Sheriff John B. Spears reports a single vehicle accident resulting in a fatality on January 31st 2018. The accident occurred at approximately 11:30pm on County Road K near Hamburg Ridge Road in the Town of Hamburg. Bradley L. Sisbach age 40 of rural Viroqua, WI was operating a pickup truck eastbound on County Road K. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest against the tree and Bradley Sisbach was later pronounced dead by the Vernon County Coroner’s Office. Sisbach was not wearing his seatbelt when the crash occurred.
