Mary Jane Pfaff, 85, of Mauston passed away Monday, February 5th, at Serenity House in Tomah. She was born on October 30, 1932, the daughter of Rose (Michalek) and Edward Pfeifer. Mary Jane helped out on the small farm where they lived in the Town of Lemonweir and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Mauston. Mary was united in marriage to Carl Pfaff on October 22, 1955, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mauston. The couple moved to Illinois where they raised their three children. Mary enjoyed working as administrative assistant and kitchen help at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Romeoville. When Carl retired, they moved back to Mauston.
