Late Saturday afternoon Law Enforcement observed a vehicle traveling completely on and off the roadway of Highway 82 in Lemonweir Township.  They followed the vehicle or short while when it pulled into a driveway.  When the driver exited the vehicle he appeared intoxicated.  When he exited his vehicle, Law Enforcement noticed an open can of Icehouse Beer between the driver’s seat and the center console.  He failed several field sobriety test.  Henry Warner, age 69, of Mauston was eventually transported to the Juneau County Jail where he registered a .13 on a breathalyzer test.  He was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 4th offense. Suspended Driver Crashes into Tree

Luis Salas Aguila, age 20, of Baraboo crashed his vehicle into a tree on Smith Road in Lyndon Township last Tuesday.  He left the scene and failed to notify authorities of the crash.  After law enforcement caught up with him, he stated he left the scene because his phone was dead.  He also stated that a deer jumped in front of him and that’s what caused him to lose control of the vehicle.  Aguila received three citations including Failure to Notify Law Enforcement and Operating After Suspension. TMH Reports Flu Activity Increasing

Even though flu activity at Tomah Memorial Hospital is picking up, officials report the severity is not has high compared to other parts of the state and country. Hospital infection Preventionist and registered nurse Jan Path said compared to some parts of the country Wisconsin has been lucky so far with the flu. This past week, four patients were hospitalized at Tomah Memorial with the flu and about 24 cases have been confirmed so far. To avoid spreading the flu, Path said a person should stay home if sick, practice good hygiene- – including washing hands frequently, avoid or limit contact with people who are sick, and cough or sneeze
