The search for Nathan Thiel’s position as City Administrator of Mauston has been started and the salary range has been set.  The next City Administrator will make between $75,000 and $100,000, Thiel had about an $87,000 salary before leaving.  Under Thiel’s advice the city has also lowered the requirement of 7 years’ experience to 5 years of experience in their search.   This will widen the pool of candidates.  The process of finding a new Administrator is expected to take up to 4 months and several department heads will help fill the gap until one is brought in.  Mauston Mayor Brian McGuire said Thiel was “Someone who got stuff done” and
