Read moreOld man winter didn’t leave quietly this year. Central Wisconsin once again got hit with a hefty amount of snow yesterday. Madison had 7 inches of snow while Tomah had 4 inches. La Crosse has a monthly total of 19 inches of snow already 2 inches more than the previous record that took place 45 years ago. Fortunately winter appears to be done with as we expect a high of near 50 today and highs in the upper 60s by the weekend. Read moreEarlier in the week WRJC.com news reported on a story in Portage involving a “body slamming” nurse who came to the aid of Portage Police. More information has come out on the story. Jacob Hellenbrand-Bell and his girlfriend Olivia Boomsma, are both being held in Columbia County Jail on felony charges of Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer. Officers originally reported to a Portage hotel on a report of a man “tearing up in the snow” and then confronting hotel guests making them feel unsafe. Officers were able to confront Boomsma who told them it was her ex-boyfriend and gave them a false name other than Hellenbrand-Bell. Later that night
