U-S Senator Tammy Duckworth of Illinois is one of just over a dozen Democratic veterans calling on Kevin Nicholson to apologize for comments he made questioning vets who are Democrats. Democratic vets signed a letter to Nicholson Wednesday, and 16 retired generals and admirals signed onto it after its initial release. U-S Marine veteran and Republican candidate for U-S Senate in Wisconsin questioned the “cognitive thought process” of Democratic vets during a debate last month and is refusing to back down from his statement. When a Lake Geneva small business owner went to the Walworth County Courthouse last month, he intended to pay for a traffic ticket.  He never returned home.  Eduardo Gualajara Castro is currently being held in a federal detention center in Louisiana waiting to be deported.  Castro has four children and has lived in the Lake Geneva area for 17 years.  He was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at the courthouse April 25th.  He was in the process of applying for a Visa when he was taken into custody. A former Wisconsin correctional officer is scheduled to make a Dodge County Circuit Court appearance next month to face drug charges.  Prosecutors say 29-year-old Jeffery Groleau smuggled drugs into the Waupun Correctional Institution while he worked there.  If he’s convicted on all the charges he faces he could receive a sentence of 30 years in prison.  Groleau told investigators he would meet a woman in local stores and she would give him cell phones and drugs to smuggle into the facility.  He was given heroin as payment.  The woman committed suicide shortly after a search warrant was executed on her property.
