DHS Confirms First Cases of Mpox in 2026, Shares Prevention Resources The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) encourages Wisconsinites to take steps to prevent mpox after cases were recently confirmed in southeastern and northern Wisconsin. Although mpox has been circulating at low levels since 2022, current surveillance data show an uptick of infections nationwide in recent weeks. As of May 3, 2026, 535 cases have been confirmed across the United States, and as of May 26, there have been five confirmed mpox cases in Wisconsin this year. Mpox is not...
