Tomah Memorial Named Most Wired for Second Year

For the second time in as many years, Tomah Memorial Hospital has been recognized for using technology to enhance care and create a new patient interactions.

Hospitals and Health Networks has published its Most Wired Hospitals and Health Systems, which included Tomah Memorial as a “Most Wired” facility among small and rural facilities across the US.

Tomah Memorial Information Systems Director LaVonne Smith said the recognition is a confirmation of the work being done to provide quality community care.

Smith said technology also enables staff to use data from the hospital’s electronic health record to help analyze clinical outcomes and look for opportunities to enhance processes at Tomah Memorial.

The hospital was one of 22 health care facilities in Wisconsin to appear on the most wired list.
