Missing Person Found Safe

A person who had walked away from a group home located in Necedah late September 6 was found safe. Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson said in a release, after searching into the early morning hours of September 7, the search was stopped. During the search, an attempt to locate was sent to surrounding counties advising of the walk away. The search resumed September 7 at 8am. At around 1:07pm, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office advised they were out with a subject at the Kwik Trip at State Highway 21 and 13 that matched the description of the walk away. After verification was made, the subject was picked up by a Juneau County deputy and transported to a more secure setting.

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office, Mauston Police Department, Necedah Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to and/or assisted with the search.
