Local Unemployment Estimates Released

The Department of Workforce Development released the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates of unemployment and employment statistics Wednesday. Preliminary July 2017 rates decreased or remained the same in all 72 counties when compared over the year to July 2016 rates.  Adams County’s unemployment rate in July was 4.6 percent, Juneau County’s was 3.2 percent, Monroe County’s was 3.1 percent, Vernon County’s was 2.8 percent and Sauk County’s unemployment rate was 2.6 percent. These rates are not seasonally adjusted.
