Hillsboro Accident Results in No Injuries

Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears reports a two-vehicle collision occurred Thursday afternoon, February 21, 2019, at approximately 3:45 PM, in the town of Hillsboro.

Edward O. Hofmeister, 89, of Hillsboro, WI was operating a vehicle, travelling northeast on State Highway 33, northeast of Hillsboro, WI.  Hofmeister attempted to turn left into a driveway and collided with an oncoming vehicle operated by JoAnna C. Muller, 41, also from Hillsboro, WI.  Both operators were wearing seatbelts.  There was airbag deployment in the Hofmeister vehicle.  No injuries were reported.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene were Hillsboro Police, Hillsboro Fire, and Hillsboro Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
