Friendship Dam Releases Water Causing Flooding in Adams County
The Friendship Lake dam is releasing high volumes of water, causing flooding in Adams County. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch in effect through this evening for areas downstream of Friendship Lake. They reported recent heavy rains across Adams County caused high water levels on Friendship Lake. As a result, high volumes of water are being released from the dam. The Red Cross said that they have opened a reception center in Friendship at 507 West Lake Street for evacuees.
