Fatal Hit and Run Accident in New Lisbon

There was a fatal hit and run accident in the City of New Lisbon Tuesday night. Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson said at around 9:25pm, they received a report of a hit and run accident on Highway 12/16 and the vehicle involved in the accident was located at Bader’s West Trailer Park. A female was trapped in the vehicle, and was extracted by the New Lisbon Fire Department. The 36-year-old female from Kendall was transported to Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston, and shortly after arrival, she was declared deceased. A male subject, who identified himself as the driver, was also transported to Hess Memorial and then transported to another hospital. The incident remains under investigation by the New Lisbon Police Department, the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Juneau County Coroner.
