Charges of Second Degree Sexual Assault and Disorderly Conduct Against a Mauston Dismissed

Charges of second degree child sexual assault and disorderly conduct have been dismissed against a Mauston man. Online court records show that during a hearing on Thursday, the case against 38-year-old Ryan Scott was dismissed without prejudice. Scott allegedly had inappropriate contact with a minor on June 24 had at a bar in Mauston during a benefit for the recent apartment fire victims. However, by dismissing the charges without prejudice, the state may refile the case.
