Necedah Village Board Gets Update on Lake Necedah Plans

The Necedah Village Board got an update on the Necedah Lake Plan at its meeting on Monday night. In an email, Village Administrator Roger Herried said the village is working with a consultant to determine the best way to improve the water quality, fish habitat and maintain recreational use of Necedah Lake. The process involves obtaining public input, monitoring the water quality, inventorying plants, inventorying fish and developing a plan that promotes recreational use without negatively impacting the Necedah Lake. The 2nd Annual Juneau County Youth Livestock Expo – July 26-27

The 2nd annual Juneau County Youth Livestock Expo is just around the corner! It will be held July 26-27 at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Mauston. Over 134 head of livestock are already registered, from 76 different exhibitors. “The number of head of livestock and exhibitors has grown significantly over our first year,” commented co-chair, Scott Firlus. This show will feature some industry leading judges and is designed to promote education amongst all exhibitors. The event will kick-off Wednesday evening with the sheep and goat show.
