Village of Necedah Residents Advised to Boil Water Used for Drinking and Cooking

At approximately 12:30 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2017, the Village of Necedah Water Utility experienced a problem with the water system. The problem allowed the water level in the tower and the reservoir to drop resulting in a loss of pressure in the distribution system to the point that the Department of Natural Resources requires a “boil water” notice to be issued. The problem that caused the pressure drop in water distribution system was related to failure of the automated communication equipment. Hottenstein, Gerald Robert, age 80, of Nekoosa

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA Gerald Robert Hottenstein, age 80, of Nekoosa, WI passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his Home following a battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 at Big Flats Community Church, 1326 County Road C, Big Flats, WI.   Pastor Milton Duntley will officiate. Gerald was born June 26, 1937 in Clintonville, Wisconsin to Chester H. & Ellanora (Conrad) Hottenstein.  He married Annette L. Wilson. They were married April 22, 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Carol I. Carpenter, age 81, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 13, 2017 with family present at her side. A Memorial gathering will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 16th, 2017 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Interment will be at a later date. Carol was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Kenneth and Billie (Hamilton) Ewald. She spent most of her adult life in Adams, Wisconsin where she made many wonderful friends and memories.  She was well known for her fashion sense, almost always found wearing sweatshirts, sweatpants, and comfortable slippers.
