Art the Park Event in Mauston This Saturday

This Saturday is Art the Park event in Riverside Park in Mauston. The event, put on by Artistic Expressions, will be from 10am-2pm. Artistic Expressions Director Billie Jo Scharfenberg said the highlight of the event will be the sidewalk chalk contest. Artists can purchase a sidewalk square for $10 and bring their own chalk or some will be provided. There will also be games, vendors, food, and raffle baskets available. Live entertainment will be provided by Generations Dance Academy and also a DJ. Funds from the event will help support Artistic Expressions, which is located in downtown Mauston. Madison Man Charged with Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety

A Madison man has been charged with felony second degree recklessly endangering safety. 31-year-old David Ryckman is also charged with hit and run, attended vehicle, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping, all misdemeanors. According to the criminal complaint, on July 5, in the Village of Lyndon Station, officers were dispatched to W. Flint Street and S. Wisconsin Street for a hit and run crash. Adams County Sheriff’s Office to Participate in the ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ Campaign

To combat impaired driving, Adams County Sheriff’s Office will join other law enforcement agencies throughout Wisconsin participating in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” national campaign from Aug. 18 to Sept. 3, 2017.
