Mauston School Districts Listens to Retirement Health Savings Considerations

The Mauston School Board received a presentation on retirement health savings considerations at its meeting on Monday night. Betsy, a Wisconsin Dells native, will be appearing at 1 pm to speak about the life and art of Vernon Grant and the two books she has published of his military cartoons , in “Adventures of Point-Man Palmer in Vietnam” and “STAND-BY ONE!” Betsy met Vernon while studying at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Vernon delighted audiences with his cartoons since early childhood. Born in 1935, he volunteered to serve in the US Army from 1958 to 1968. Adams County Sheriff’s Office: Beware of ‘Make-a-Wish’ Scam

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is warning of a new scam that is making its way across the country using the name of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Con artists holding out as government officials from the “Federal Trade Commission” or the fake “Consumer Protection Agency” are calling people to tell them that they have won a cash sweepstakes through the Make-a-Wish Foundation, a national charity for sick children.
