Busy Weekend of Summer Events On Tap in Local Communities

It will be a big summer weekend in the area.  Hillsboro is holding their hope walk for cancer Friday June 15th from 6-11pm.  The event will help raise funds to help people affected by cancer.   There will be food, games, raffles and more at the event.  In Tomah the annual Jesse Parker run is going on Saturday Morning at 8am.  The event includes a 5mile, 5k run, as well as other races to accommodate everyone.  The race began in to raise money for local charities as well as providing clean water to countries in Africa.  The race is in memory of Jesse Parker who passed away at the young age of 17.  Mauston’s St. Vincent’s de Paul will hold their 3rd annual Summer Celebration and Vendor show Saturday.  The event runs from 9am to 6pm.  There will be brats and hot dogs to eat, games to play and raffles to win.  The event will also feature 20 different vendors and crazy sales inside the store.
