Bank of Mauston Donates Land to Central WI Community Action Council, Inc.
MAUSTON – Bank of Mauston proudly donated two lots in the City of Mauston, located on Herriot Drive, just north of Western Technical College, to Central Wisconsin Community Action Council, Inc., earlier this summer.
Development plans for the lots will serve low-income individuals and families, including the elderly.
Central WI Community Action Council, Inc. (CWCAC) is a private, not-for-profit corporation established in 1966 under the Economic Opportunity Act. CWCAC operates a variety of state and federal programs to assist low-income families in becoming self-sufficient and to help our communities grow and prosper. According to JK Walsh, Bank of Mauston AVP, “Bank of Mauston has proudly partnered with CWCAC in the Village of Necedah on three low-income housing projects with a fourth development project in the planning stages. BOM is also currently helping CWCAC with its newest project in Mauston, the John Wenum Family Apartments, located on Herriot Drive. Bank of Mauston and CWCAC share a common mission in helping our communities grow by supporting affordable housing opportunities”, concludes Walsh.
