Adams County Authorities Report to Woman Who Was in Water by STH 82 Bridge Near CTH Z

On June 26, 2019, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office who was reporting a person in the Wisconsin River by the STH 82 Bridge near CTH Z in the Adams County Town of Springville. Upon arrival, there were bystanders who were attempting to aid the subject in the water. A deputy entered the water to rescue the female subject who was then treated by Lifestar EMS and transported to an area hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries. The female subject is currently undergoing a mental health evaluation.

 

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Lifestar EMS, Quincy Fire Department, Juneau County Sheriff’s Office, and Kilbourn Fire Department.
