Juneau County Sheriff’s Department Hopes to Purchase 5 New Vehicles

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Committee approved a motion to purchase a new administrative vehicle as well as 4 new squad cars during their August 14th meeting.  The motion will go before the County Board at their August 21st meeting.  The Sheriff’s committee was quick to act because the 2020 models would cost $8,000 more than the 2019 models because of updates to the vehicles bodies.  If the purchases are approved the four squad cars would cost around 28,000 each and the administrative vehicle would cost around $29,000.  The administrative vehicle will be driven by Sheriff Oleson while he’s on duty.
