Mauston High School Cross Country Results from Saturday 9/23/17

The Mauston High School cross country teams competed at the 50th Annual Peter Neilsen CC Relay meet hosted by Kettle Morraine High School. This competition gave the Golden Eagles an opportunity to race with some very good completion from the southeast /Milwaukee metro area, and there were twenty teams competed at the event.

”We have been competing at this meet for the past twenty years, this years meet was one of the most challenging our teams have ever experienced at the relay meet. The competition is always incredible, the course is fast but challenging. The real challenge this year was the 90 degree temps with pretty intense humidity. I was really proud of how our teams responded to the challenge, the meet went from how fast to who was going to be the toughest. The finish chute area looked like a MASH unit, it took 10-15 minutes to recover enough to appreciate what they had accomplished by testing their competitive soul at this level of intensity. It was pretty good stuff,” commented Coach DeVoe.
