>>Decomposing Body Found In Walworth County Identified As Missing Man
(Town of Geneva, WI) — An autopsy conducted by the Wisconsin Crime Laboratory in Milwaukee has identified the body found last weekend as a man who had been missing since last fall. Two teenagers were hiking in a marshy area of Walworth County when they made the discovery. Seventy-year-old James Demeuse had been reported missing October 20th. His decomposing body was found on private property near the town of Geneva. Investigators say they don’t suspect foul play in Demeuse’s death.

(Wausau, WI) — Wisconsin’s governor is warning Tuesday’s victory by the liberal candidate for the state Supreme Court could be an indicator of an oncoming “Blue Wave.” Rebecca Dallet beat conservative opponent Michael Screnock by 12 points making Democrats optimistic they can pick up additional seats in the mid-term elections. A “Blue Wave” is another term for a Democratic takeover of Wisconsin politics. At a stop in Wausau, Republican Governor Scott Walker said he understands that people are upset with Washington, saying he is, too. Walker thinks Wisconsin Republicans are the answer, citing successes during his time in office. He’s running for a third term this fall.
>>Bank Robber Given 10-Year Federal Prison Sentence
(Madison, WI) — Sticking up a bank last year will send a Madison man to federal prison for 10 years. Forty-seven-year-old Reginald Morris was sentenced Wednesday. Investigators say he handed a note to a teller at an Associated Bank branch saying he had a bomb and demanding money. Morris did little to conceal his identity while committing the robbery. He was placed at the scene by witnesses and photos, as well as fingerprints and handwriting samples. He robbed the bank while on probation for two previous armed robberies.
>>Accused Shooter Found Competent To Stand Trial
(West Allis, WI) — The woman accused of shooting a used-car dealer in the head was declared competent to stand trial during a Wednesday court appearance. A preliminary hearing for Melissa Sandrone will be held next week. Sandrone is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting caught on surveillance video. Prosecutors say Sandrone held business owner Matthew Tripi responsible for a motorcycle accident 14 years ago. Witnesses say the 45-year-old woman was smiling as she got into her vehicle and drove away. When she was arrested police found several weapons in her possession, including more than one dozen knives.
